Born 1978 in Guangzhou, China, now lives and works in Beijing. She belongs to a vibrant new generation of Chinese artists. She does photos, videos and performances, often satirical, playful and humourous, drifting between fantasy and the humdrum of contemporary Chinese daily life. Using western pop culture as a bridge to her wry and poetic commentary on a form of alienation.
